Raising the Roof property open for inspection

The Raising the Roof project, a house and land package constructed to raise funds for bushfire relief in the Whittlesea community, will be officially auctioned on August 29 at 12pm, 2009 and will be open for inspection from Saturday, August 8.

The Clarendon house and Investa land package situated in Mill Park Lakes Estate has been under construction since May and is now ready to welcome potential home owners. Investa and Clarendon are encouraging potential house buyers to consider the property, knowing that all of the proceeds will be going directly to those affected by the tragic Black Saturday fires that tore through the Whittlesea community earlier in the year.

The Raising the Roof project is an initiative of Clarendon and Investa, who joined forces with a host of local contractors and suppliers who have donated their time and materials to build the home so that 100 per cent of proceeds can be invested back into rebuilding the Whittlesea community.

The auction (on August 29) will be a family fun-day, with activities for the whole family including face painting and a sausage sizzle kicking off from 10:30pm that day, with the official auction at 12pm.

“August 29 will be a time to reflect on the past and look to the future. The auction represents the continuing efforts to rebuild the community, and will be a day where the community can band together and achieve a great result for everyone involved,” said Chris Plant, Senior Development Manager, Investa Land Victoria.

Following the auction, funds raised will be placed in the hands of a Whittlesea based Bushfire Relief Committee, which will work closely with the community and local council to determine how the money is best spent.

The house, located in the Mill Park Lakes development in South Morang, is an architect-designed three-bedroom home that includes an open plan family and meals area, a galley style kitchen with Caesar Stone bench tops and stainless steel appliances, an alfresco outdoor entertaining area, private master bedroom with ensuite and his and hers twin vanity, in addition to built-in wardrobes, double garage and generous storage.
